Learn how I get rid of anxiety – fast!
Sometimes it feels like a nagging worry and sometimes it can turn into a full-blown panic attack.
After dealing with anxiety most of my life, I’ve tried nearly everything to get rid of it.
Medication, supplements, therapy, hypnosis, meditation, facing my fears, and more. And I think all of those are great tools.
But the biggest lesson I’ve learned about anxiety is that it is a message and its something to pay attention to before it gets to be too much.
Why Anxiety Started Back Up Again
I was feeling really anxious because of some big upcoming changes in my life. While they are good changes, I was still experiencing anxiety.
In the past, I would just pretend everything was fine, bury my head in the sand, and keep going until it got so bad that it turned into panic attacks. But I’ve learned my lesson!
I knew I had to take action.
So I implemented some simple and super effective steps, and now I’m feeling really good again!
Here Are The Steps I Take To Get Rid Of Anxiety
Stop Drinking Coffee.
This is critical. Drinking coffee or high amounts of caffeine when you have anxiety is like pouring gasoline on a raging fire.
I used to joke that coffee was liquid anxiety for me.
So I switch to chai tea or matcha and reduce the caffeine.

Eat Plenty Of Protein.
If my meals are full of carbs and sugar, I don’t feel so great.
It also makes me feel more anxious.
Making sure my meals have a good portion of protein always makes me feel better!
Make Sure You Get Enough Sleep.
It can be SO hard to sleep when you have anxiety!
Good quality sleep can help me eliminate anxiety the next day, so it’s worth it to figure it out!

Supplements For Anxiety.
I started adding Ashwagandha first thing in the morning. This is an adaptogenic herb that has seriously helped me so much in remaining calm during the day.
I also added a GABA supplement at night, starting with these Stress Gummies. I actually got a travel pack that was only $3.99 (Target and Whole Foods has them).
Surprisingly, I ended up LOVING those gummies! They gave me a few hours of solid relaxation before bed and helped me get to sleep earlier than normal.
Please check with a doctor before taking any supplements. I am not a health professional and I am not giving medical advice. I am simply sharing my experience.
I started recommitting to get outside for my daily walk. I gradually increased the length of my walk and explored new areas to walk in.
Walking outside is also great for resetting my mindset. After I go for a walk I always feel a million times better!
Practice Relaxing Yoga.
I recommitted to a daily yoga practice in the afternoon.
This is one of my favorite daily yoga sequences! It’s a 15-minute hip opening sequence that is incredibly relaxing and restorative.
No Work After 6 pm.
Anyone else have a habit of sacrificing your sleep and relaxing evenings for work?
I’m so guilty of this!
I have to cut myself off at a certain time in order to make space for relaxation.
Practice Daily Relaxation.
Regular daily relaxation practices can work wonders to calm your nervous system.
You can even move this up to twice daily if you need.
Do the Inner Work.
For me, this is KEY!
By getting clarity and reframing my perspective, any anxiety begins to dissipate.
Start to look at what is going on in your life… Is there anything new going on? Any upcoming changes? Write it all out.
How do you feel about it? Be really honest with yourself.
Is this situation or these changes helping you to expand? Or are you sacrificing who you are and what you want/need? I have run into both and sometimes it’s hard to tell them apart.
Taking some time to think it over, journal it out, or just process can be really beneficial to gaining clarity.
Sometimes facing a challenge can stretch you and make you stronger. How do you think you will feel after this change? When I know I’ll feel great after completing something challenging, I know that is an important consideration.
